Patna, July 20 -- The opening day of the brief monsoon session of the Bihar Assembly was adjourned for the day on Monday after taking up the listed business of the house and making obituary references to the departed souls who passed away during the intervening period.

As soon as the members assembled for the day, opposition MLAs tried to draw the Speaker's attention to the NEET paper leak. RJD's Alok Mehta and Bhai Virendra stood up and argued that the irregularities in the NEET exam were tantamount to playing with the lives of students.

The Speaker asked the members to raise the issues at the appropriate time.
