Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 25 -- Kerala Police have intensified 'Operation P-Hunt' against the online circulation of child sexual abuse material, arresting eight persons in statewide surprise raids and seizing 212 electronic devices, including mobile phones, hard disks and memory cards.
The raids were conducted at 398 suspected locations across the state by 150 special investigation teams formed under the direct supervision of District Police Chiefs.
The operation targeted those involved in the sale and circulation of child sexual abuse material online, as well as repeat offenders. Police said such material was being circulated through social media platforms, encrypted messaging applications and cloud storage services.
