Lakhimpur Kheri, Feb. 23 -- A tragic road accident claimed the life of a Class 10 student and left several others seriously injured on Monday morning in Lakhimpur Kheri district.
The incident occurred around 7:10 am on the Dhaurahara-Dhakherwa highway under the Padhua police station limits. A Magic van carrying 16 students, along with the driver, collided head-on with a truck while the students were on their way to appear for their board examination.
According to police, the students of Uma Devi Public School were travelling to Maa Gayatri Vidya Mandir to take their High School English examination.
