Dharamshala, June 25 -- A man was killed and a woman seriously injured when a vehicle plunged into a gorge near Nagrota in Kangra district, police said on Thursday.
Kangra district superintendent of police Ashok Rattan told UNI that Akshay Kumar, a resident of Sheela Chowk in Dharamshala tehsil, was driving vehicle number PB65L-9535 on June 24 when he allegedly lost control due to rash and negligent driving, causing the vehicle to fall into a deep gorge.
Akshay Kumar died in the accident, while Upasana, a resident of Fatehabad in Punjab, sustained serious injuries and was referred to Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, for treatment.
