Chennai, March 7 -- On the eve of International Womens Day (IWD) it rained freebies as actor-turned-neta and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Founder Vijay on Saturday evening announced a slew of promises for women, children and families ahead of the key Assembly elections, that included Rs 2,500 per month for elderly women, free six LPG cylinders a year, one sovereign gold and a silk saree under Marriage Seer scheme, free bus travel, strengthening women's safety, education assistance, setting up fast track courts for ensuring speedy justice, among others.
