Varanasi, June 25 -- On the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi of the month of Jyeshtha, the annual Shri Kashi Vishwanath Kalash Yatra was taken out from Rajendra Prasad Ghat to the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Thursday.
During this Kalash Yatra, Baba Vishwanath, the Lord of the Universe, was anointed with water from 1008 pots. Thousands of male and female devotees, dressed in yellow, graced the procession. The tableau of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, seated on a giant symbolic Nandi, captivated all devotees.
Eleven silver pots filled with milk and water from sacred rivers and pilgrimage sites-the Indus, Vyas, Jhelum, Mansarovar, Chenab, Ravi, Prayagraj Mahakumbh, Ganga, and Rishikesh-were offered to Baba.
