Kolkata, July 29 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited Belur Math on Wednesday morning on the occasion of Guru Purnima, offering prayers, seeking the blessings of the senior monks of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, and holding discussions on the state's development.
Adhikari arrived at the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission at around 11 a.m. amid elaborate security arrangements put in place by the Howrah City Police. Thousands of devotees had gathered at Belur Math from early morning to mark Guru Purnima, one of the most significant occasions in the Hindu spiritual calendar.
