Muscat/Tehran, June 17 -- Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi and his Iranian counterpart Araghchi in a telephone conversation on late Tuesday reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring the safe and free passage of maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Oman's state news agency, the two ministers stressed their shared commitment to international law governing navigation in the strategic waterway.

They also expressed hope that all parties would engage in sustained diplomatic efforts aimed at preserving regional security and stability.
