Bengaluru, Aug. 26 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday defended the re-induction of B Nagendra into his Cabinet, saying an official report had found that the former minister was not involved in the alleged Valmiki Corporation scam and that 95 per cent of the money had been recovered during the investigation.
"It was not Nagendra who did it," Shivakumar said while responding to questions on Nagendra's return to the Cabinet after he had resigned amid allegations linked to the alleged Rs 89-crore Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation scam.
