Bhubaneswar, Sept. 24 -- The Odisha Government is yet to make a final assessment of the financial impact of the amended Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 2026 on the State's mining revenue, Steel and Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena informed the Assembly on Thursday.
Replying to a question by BJD MLA Kalikesh Singh Deo, the Minister said the financial implications would be assessed after the commencement of the relevant rules and the conditions or restrictions, if any, to be prescribed by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, in this regard.
