Bhubaneswar, June 29 -- In a digital governance initiative aimed at enhancing public safety, the Odisha Government on Monday launched an advanced Safety Module on the Odisha Yatri app, transforming it into what it claims is India's first state-owned integrated safety and mobility platform.

The upgraded platform has been integrated with Odisha Police and the national emergency response helpline (112), enabling users to send instant SOS alerts along with their live location during emergencies.
