Bhubaneshwar, March 9 -- The anti-corruption vigilance of Odisha police on Sunday arrested an engineer of water resources department under prevention of corruption act provisions after simultaneous search operations at different locations by the anti-graft agency detected huge assets disproportionate to the arrested engineer's income.
Pramod Kumar Ray, Assistant Executive Engineer, Derabish Irrigation Sub-Division under Kendrapara Irrigation Division has been placed under arrest by Odisha Vigilance and was forwarded today to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack for possession of disproportionate assets.
The Court later rejected his bail application and remanded him to judicial custody.
