Bhubaneswar, July 22 -- Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested the Principal of Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya (OAV), Thuamul Rampur in Kalahandi district, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a Self-Help Group (SHG) functionary to facilitate the release of pending bills.
According to Vigilance sources, the SHG functionary had been repeatedly requesting Principal Sitakanta Rana to clear bills pending for the last three months during the 2026-27 financial year for cleaning work undertaken at the school.
