Bhubaneswar, July 14 -- Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday unveiled the guidelines for the Baristha Nagarik Tirtha Yatra Yojana 2026-27, the state's flagship pilgrimage scheme for senior citizens.
Addressing the media, Parida said the scheme reflects the state government's commitment to enabling senior citizens to undertake pilgrimages to revered religious destinations across the country with dignity, safety and government support.
She said more than 45,555 senior citizens have benefited from the Baristha Nagarik Tirtha Yatra Yojana since its inception and have undertaken pilgrimages to various religious destinations across India under the scheme.
