Bhubaneswar, Oct. 5 -- In a major initiative to build a skilled workforce for the clean energy transition, the Odisha government will establish a Green Energy (Solar) Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the World Skill Center (WSC) campus in Mancheswar here in partnership with the Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC).
The Centre, to be fully sponsored under OHPC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, involves an investment of Rs 1,48,75,009 over the financial years 2026-27 and 2027-28.
The initiative was announced in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister K V Singh Deo and Industry, Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain.
