Bhubaneswar, Aug. 14 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed officials to strengthen the state's transmission network and expand grid infrastructure to ensure reliable and quality power supply for industries and consumers across the state.
Reviewing ongoing and proposed projects of the Energy Department on Thursday, Majhi stressed the need to ensure uninterrupted power supply across Odisha by 2030 in view of the state's rapidly growing industrial sector.
Around 590 industrial projects are expected to come up in Odisha by 2030-31. To meet their power requirements and cater to the growing demand from other consumers, power projects worth around Rs 16,000 crore will be implemented across the state, the meeting was informed....
