Bhubaneswar, July 2 -- Odisha will establish the State Data Centre 2.0 (OSDC 2.0), a next-generation digital infrastructure project, to meet the growing requirements of e-governance as the existing State Data Centre, operational since 2011, is nearing the end of its lifecycle.
The decision was approved by the Odisha Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, at its meeting on Wednesday night.
The existing State Data Centre currently hosts more than 600 government applications serving 39 state government departments. However, with the present infrastructure facing capacity constraints and approaching end-of-life, the establishment of OSDC 2.0 has become essential.
