Bhubaneswar, July 18 -- In a bid to strengthen industrial safety and emergency preparedness, the Directorate of Factories & Boilers, Odisha, in collaboration with the State Labour Institute, conducted a state-level training programme on the safe handling of ammonia at the IFFCO Paradip Unit in Jagatsinghpur on Friday.

The one-day programme brought together around 160 engineers, supervisors, operators and safety professionals from ammonia-handling industries across Odisha. It focused on enhancing technical competence in the safe handling, storage, transportation, inspection and maintenance of ammonia, while improving preparedness to tackle industrial emergencies.
