Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- Odisha Government has intensified its drive to identify and take action against unsafe and dilapidated buildings across the state, with Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra on Tuesday warning that structures posing a serious threat to public safety would face action, including demolition wherever warranted.

The Minister said the government has launched a comprehensive exercise to identify, assess and address buildings that pose risks to human life and property, with the primary objective of preventing accidents and ensuring public safety.
