Bhubaneswar, Sept. 22 -- A day after Odisha's final electoral roll for 2026 was published; the Opposition BJD on Tuesday alleged that more than 27.5 lakh voters were systematically excluded during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), accusing the state election machinery of manipulating the exercise and compromising transparency.
At a press conference at the party headquarter here, senior party leaders Bhrugu Baxipatra and Bijay Nayak alleged that the voter figures released at different stages of the revision did not tally and questioned the basis for the deletion of such a large number of names.
