Kendrapara, June 15 -- Tikhiri Sarpanch Chameli Ojha, who is currently undergoing treatment at the Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital, has demanded a judicial inquiry into her allegations of assault and custodial torture and called for the resignation of Mahakalapada MLA Durga Prasad Nayak.
Ojha alleged that she was attacked by supporters of the MLA and claimed that personnel from Mahakalapada police subjected both her and her brother to custodial torture, resulting in injuries.
She further accused local IIC Manas Mallick and the MLA's supporters of carrying out a campaign of character assassination against her.
