Bhubaneswar, May 16 -- The Odisha government on Friday enhanced the dearness allowance (DA) for state government employees by two percentage points, raising it from 58 per cent to 60 per cent.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office.

The revised DA will be effective retrospectively from January 1, 2026.

Government employees will receive the enhanced amount in cash along with their salary for the month of May, the statement said.

In a similar move, the state government also increased the temporary increase (TI) for pensioners by two percentage points.

Pensioners will get the revised benefit with their May pension.
