Bhubaneswar, Aug. 26 -- Odisha Police is adopting a more scientific and systematic approach to road crash investigations, with officers being trained in scientific methods of examining crash scenes, collecting and preserving evidence, reconstructing accidents and identifying the factors responsible for them.
A training was organised yesterday as part of a one-day Road Safety and Crash Investigation Programme by Odisha Police in coordination with the State Transport Authority (STA) with technical experts from IIT Madras and consultants to the STA, imparting specialised training to the participating officers and road safety stakeholders.
