Bhubaneswar, July 1 -- In a major breakthrough against interstate drug trafficking, Odisha's Kandhamal Police have arrested the alleged kingpin of a ganja smuggling network from Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh in connection with the seizure of 1,470 kg of ganja valued at approximately Rs 1.5 crore.

According to Odisha Police sources, a special team led by Sub-Inspector Ananta Kumar Pradhan conducted a raid in Rewa on Tuesday and apprehended Aditya Mishra alias Rakesh alias Sawariya (28), identified as the prime accused and mastermind behind the trafficking operation.

During the operation, police seized a four-wheeler vehicle and four mobile phones from the accused.
