Varanasi, Aug. 23 -- Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Sunday that plans are underway to develop a grand ghat along the Mahanadi River in Odisha, inspired by the iconic Namo Ghat on the banks of the Ganga in Kashi.
She said similar modern and aesthetically appealing ghats would be developed across Odisha, drawing inspiration from Kashi's infrastructure, civic amenities and development initiatives.
Parida, who was in the holy city of Kashi to participate in the three-day "Odisha Parba" organized at the Pandit Deendayal Hastkala Sankul in Bada Lalpur, said she was impressed by the crowd-management arrangements in Kashi and at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
