Bhubaneswar, June 21 -- The Odisha Language, Literature and Culture Department today observed World Music Day with a grand cultural programme at the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Odissi Research Centre, showcasing the richness of Odisha's classical music heritage and reiterating the importance of preserving and promoting India's diverse musical traditions.
Organised at the Utkal Rangamanch auditorium of the research centre, the event brought together renowned artistes, music enthusiasts and cultural personalities. Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Odisha Language, Literature and Culture Department Deb Prasad Dash, eminent vocalist Tripti Das, and former administrator Manoranjan Panigrahi graced the occasion as chief guests.
