Bhubaneswar, Oct. 2 -- The Odisha Government on Friday launched the 'Sujal' campaign across the state to create awareness about water conservation, safe drinking water practices and prevention of water-borne diseases.

Housing and Urban Development Minister Krishna Chandra Mahapatra inaugurated the campaign in Bhubaneswar. Organised by the Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO) under the Housing and Urban Development Department, the state-wide campaign will continue from October 2 to 16.

The campaign seeks to encourage judicious use of water, prevent wastage, protect available water resources and ensure water security for future generations.
