Bhubaneswar, April 25 -- The Odisha government has issued strict directives to curb the practice of conducting document registration outside designated offices, allowing home registration only in genuine and exceptional cases.
The government has made it clear that such practices do not align with the provisions and intent of the Registration Act, 1908, and the Odisha Registration Rules, 1988.
It has warned that any violation will invite stringent action. All Additional District Magistrates (ADMs) and District Registrars have been instructed to closely monitor compliance.
