Bhubaneswar, July 14 -- In an initiative to ensure accurate documentation and safeguard land belonging to Lord Jagannath, the revered presiding deity of Odisha, the State Government has directed revenue authorities to verify century-old land records and Records of Rights (RoRs).
Revenue and Disaster Management Department Additional Chief Secretary Aravind Padhee issued a directive in this regard. They asked the Board of Revenue, Revenue Divisional Commissioners (RDCs), Collectors and the Director of Land Records and Surveys (DLRS) to accord top priority to safeguarding the deity's land assets.
