Bhubaneshwar, Feb. 23 -- The State Data Centre functioning under the government-run Odisha Computer Application Centre has successfully neutralized over 7,000 cyber-attacks during the course of the last two years in government offices, including the Governor and State secretariat.
The State's Electronics and Information Technology Minister Mukesh Mahaling informed the Assembly today in response to a query by BJP MLA Tankadhar Tripathy.
Though 7,005 cyber-attacks were orchestrated to hack the government web portals, the IT and cyber security experts of the data Centre managed to thwart the hacking bid by international cybercriminals, the minister informed the House in a written reply.
