Bhubaneswar, June 16 -- Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati on Tuesday felicitated Padma Shri awardee and internationally renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for winning the prestigious Russian Grand Sand Master Cup 2026 at the International Festival of Sand Sculpture held in the Kaliningrad region of Russia.
Congratulating Pattnaik on the achievement, the Governor said the artist has created history by becoming the first Indian sand sculptor to receive the prestigious international honour.
He remarked that the achievement has brought immense pride to Odisha and the country while further strengthening India's recognition in the field of art and culture at the global level.
