Bhubaneswar, July 20 -- Odisha's flagship Odisha Forestry Sector Development Project-II (OFSDP-II) has transformed the lives of nearly 7.55 lakh people over the past two years by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities, empowering women, strengthening community institutions and promoting sustainable forest management across the state.
Implemented by the Odisha Forestry Sector Development Society (OFSDS) under the Department of Forest, Environment and Climate Change with financial support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the project is being carried out across 14 forest and wildlife divisions in 10 districts through more than 1,210 Vana Surakhya Samitis (VSSs).
