Bhubaneswar, Aug. 21 -- More than 13.44 lakh people have been affected by the ongoing flood situation in Odisha, with 4,87,350 people evacuated and sheltered as relief and rescue operations continue across seven districts.

According to the latest report of the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC) under the Office of the Special Relief Commissioner, 13,44,698 people in Baleshwar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendujhar, Kendrapara and Sundargarh districts have been affected by the floods.

The affected areas include 76 blocks, 505 gram panchayats, 1,703 villages and 12 urban local bodies.
