Bhubaneswar, Sept. 22 -- The Odisha government has directed Collectors of all 30 districts to ensure regular and systematic conduct of "A Day for Children" meetings at the district, block and gram panchayat levels, after it found that the initiative was not being held at regular intervals in several districts.
In a letter to the Collectors, Director of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and Social Welfare Monisha Banerjee said the initiative was aimed at strengthening child-centric service delivery and ensuring convergence among various departments and stakeholders for addressing issues concerning children.
