Bhubaneswar, Sept. 9 -- In a gesture of exceptional compassion amid profound grief, the family of a brain-stem-dead teacher from Cuttack's Banki area consented to donate his organs, helping offer a fresh lease of life to patients awaiting transplants.
The patient, a resident of Dhansar village under Banki sub-division, had been admitted to SUM Ultimate Medicare in a critical condition following a sudden medical emergency. Despite intensive treatment and supportive care, his condition deteriorated and he was subsequently declared brain-stem-dead after completion of the prescribed medical assessment and certification process.
