Bhubaneswar, June 5 -- Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo today called for crop diversification and the adoption of modern farming practices to make agriculture more profitable, resilient and sustainable in Odisha, while stressing the need to build a distinct identity for Odisha mangoes in national and international markets.

Addressing the State-Level Mango Festival at the Central Horticultural Experiment Station in Bhubaneswar, Deo said Odisha should capitalise on its rich horticultural diversity to enhance farmers' incomes and strengthen its presence in domestic and global markets.
