Bhubaneswar, July 30 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Police has arrested a man for allegedly defrauding ICICI Bank of Rs 1.42 crore by securing a loan against forged land documents.
EOW sources said on Thursday that the accused, Mihir Kumar Paikaray, was arrested from Bhubaneswar and produced before the Designated Court under the Odisha Protection of Interests of Depositors (OPID) Act in Cuttack.
The case was registered on the basis of a written complaint filed by Sushant Nayak, Regional Head, Financial Crime Prevention Group, ICICI Bank Ltd.
