Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday announced a significant enhancement in nutritional support for severely underweight children and an increase in breakfast allocations for pre-school children attending Anganwadi centres across the state.
Under the revised provisions, the daily cost of supplementary nutrition for severely underweight children in the age group of six months to six years has been increased from Rs. 8 to Rs. 12. In addition, beneficiaries will continue to receive Rs. 6 per child per day under the Mukhyamantri Sampoorna Pushti Yojana, taking the total nutritional support to Rs. 18 per child per day.
