Bhubaneswar, June 20 -- Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested an Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kotpad Block in Koraput district, after unearthing a massive cache of alleged disproportionate assets, including dozens of land parcels, benami properties and sprawling plantation farms.
The accused Satyanarayan Sethy was arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018, and will be produced before the Court of the Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore, said the Vigilance.
Simultaneous searches at properties linked to the engineer revealed assets grossly disproportionate to his known sources of income, for which he allegedly failed to provide a satisfactory explanation.
