Bhubaneswar, July 27 -- Odisha is emerging as a strategic frontier in India's quest for energy security and self-reliance with the commencement of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation's (ONGC) first deepwater exploratory drilling in the Mahanadi offshore basin, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Monday.
In a post on social media platform X, the Chief Minister described the launch of the deepwater drilling campaign as a significant milestone in unlocking the vast hydrocarbon potential off the Odisha coast.
