Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- The Odisha Government on Monday clarified that registration on the AgriStack platform is not mandatory for farmers to sell paddy during the upcoming Kharif Paddy Procurement Season 2026-27, in a move aimed at ensuring that no farmer is denied access to the procurement system.
The decision was taken at an Inter-Ministerial Committee meeting held here to review preparations for a smooth, transparent and hassle-free farmer registration process for the Kharif procurement season.
Official sources said the registration window would remain open until October and farmers would be allowed to register for paddy procurement even without an AgriStack Farmer ID.
