Bhubaneswar, June 10 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday alleged that the decision of Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Y.B. Khurania to deploy senior police officers to supervise several districts is an indication that the state's law and order machinery is not functioning satisfactorily.
The DGP has directed 15 senior police officers to conduct independent inspections and review the law and order situation in 17 districts before submitting detailed reports.
