Bhubaneswar, Oct. 6 -- Odisha DGP Vinaytosh Mishra on Tuesday directed senior police officials to maintain close coordination with student leaders and educational institutions and take all necessary measures to ensure peaceful conduct of the upcoming student union elections in the state.
Reviewing law and order and other issues, including student elections, festival security, cybercrime and women's safety, through a video conference with district SPs and Range IGs/DIGs, Mishra said students constitute a sensitive community and police personnel must maintain regular and direct communication with them.
