Bhubaneswar, June 29 -- Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on Monday demanded an independent and time-bound inquiry into the alleged disappearance of 12 patients from the premises of SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, and called for urgent strengthening of patient safety and hospital security mechanisms.
A fact-finding committee constituted by the OPCC under the chairmanship of senior Congress leader Shibananda Ray visited the hospital to assess the situation and gather first-hand information regarding the reported incidents that allegedly occurred over the past one month.
