Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on Monday accused the BJP-led state government of adopting a "multi-pronged approach" to harass farmers by allegedly failing to fulfil its commitments on Minimum Support Price (MSP), bonuses, crop insurance and subsidies, besides allowing corruption and exploitative practices at various levels.
The Congress alleged that the government was adopting a "stepmotherly attitude" towards farmers and strongly criticised the Agriculture Minister for allegedly linking ordinary farmers with cannabis cultivation.
