Bhubaneswar, June 26 -- In a major push to accelerate industrialisation in Odisha and across eastern India, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced a landmark initiative titled Government of Odisha - Eastern Investment Accelerator and Special Task Force ('Go East').
Addressing the CII Eastern Regional Council Meeting 2026, the Chief Minister said the initiative is designed to encourage industrial groups from eastern and northeastern states to invest in Odisha while strengthening their existing industrial ecosystems and markets in their home states.
As part of the dedicated 'Go East' framework, Majhi announced the creation of a high-level Special Task Force to fast-track investment proposals and project implementation....
