Bhubaneswar, June 8 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi's helicopter was diverted to Puri on Monday evening after adverse weather conditions triggered by a Nor'wester disrupted flight operations in Bhubaneswar.
The Chief Minister, accompanied by Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, was returning to Bhubaneswar from Baripada after attending official programmes when strong winds and inclement weather in the state capital prompted airport authorities to redirect the helicopter to Puri.
Acting swiftly, Puri Collector Dibyajyoti Parida and Superintendent of Police Prateek Singh reached the helipad and escorted the Chief Minister to the Special Circuit House at around 5:10 p.m.
