Bhubaneswar, Sept. 10 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday expressed deep concern over the rescue of five baby orangutans in Balasore district and ordered a detailed probe into how the rare exotic animals reached the state.

Despite being in Dubai on an official programme, Majhi has been closely monitoring the developments and has directed officials to ascertain the route through which the orangutans entered Odisha, who were involved in their transportation, and the purpose for which they were brought here, a statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office noted.
