Bhubaneswar, Feb. 26 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a new 7-storeyed Odisha Bhawan in New Delhi with an estimated cost of the project at Rs 93.27 crore.
Stating that the architectural design of the new building will showcase Odisha's rich heritage, art, and cultural legacy, Majhi said the project is being undertaken in view of the limitations of the existing building, which has become old and lacks adequate space and modern facilities to meet present-day requirements.
The proposed structure will comprise three basements, a ground floor, and six additional floors. It will house 45 well-equipped suites with modern amenities.
