Bhubaneswar, June 24 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday underscored the need to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), unmanned systems, and advanced monitoring networks to enhance maritime security and safeguard the country's coastal assets.
Addressing the inaugural session of the 14th Multi-Agency Maritime Security Group (Policy) meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan here, the Chief Minister stressed that maritime security has evolved beyond conventional law-and-order concerns and now encompasses protection of critical infrastructure, maritime domain awareness, cyber security, disaster management, and environmental security.
